RTVF program to host Tennessee Film Nights

September 10–24, 2019

JOHNSON CITY – Tennessee Film Nights, a series of three evenings of films made in East Tennessee, takes place in downtown Johnson City Tuesdays, Sept. 10, 17 and 24.

Films are shown outdoors beginning at 8 p.m. each night at the Atlantic Ale House, 111 McClure St. Each evening has a theme, and the theme of the opening session on Sept. 10 is “Mountain South Reimagined.”

This series features films made by ETSU students, especially those in the Radio/TV/Film program in the university’s Department of Media and Communication. Films made by other local filmmakers will be considered, as well.

This fall’s event follows a successful pilot showing held during the spring 2019 semester.

The film series is for mature audiences. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled and rescheduled at a later date; patrons may look for Tennessee Film Nights on Facebook for cancellation information.
