ELIZABETHTON, TN — Friends of Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park and the Sabine Hill Social Society are offering “A Day of Dance – An English Country Dance Workshop” at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park, Elizabethton, Tennessee,Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dance was a very popular social pastime during the early 19th century. This workshop is planned for beginners and intermediate level dancers and you make take one or both sessions presented by guest instructors, Emily and Marie Smith.
There will be two sessions offered at a cost of $6 per class. From 9 a.m to noon, dances taught will be at the Basic Beginner Level and from 1–4 p.m. dances will be taught at the Intermediate Level. If you pre-register for both classes, the cost is $10. Refreshments are offered throughout the day.
