The Johnson City Public Library, Johnson City, Tennessee, hosts a variety of events during the upcoming week.
Wednesday, Sept. 11
- Mother Goose Story time (Ages birth-18 months and caregivers) 9:30-10 a.m. Registration required.
- Toddler Time (Ages 18-36 months and caregivers) 10:15-10:45 a.m.
- Preschool Story time (Ages 3-5 years and caregivers) 11-11:30 a.m.
- Xbox Gaming (Ages 12-18) 3-5 p.m. Check out Xbox controllers and play in teen area for up to one hour.
Thursday, Sept. 12
- Mother Goose Story time (Ages birth-18 months and caregivers) 9:30-10 a.m. Registration required.
- Toddler Time (Ages 18-36 months and caregivers) 10:15-10:45 a.m.
- Tales & Talk: Nothing Gold Can Stay by Ron Rash (Ages 18+) 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Book discussion group, registration required.
- Preschool Story time (Ages 3-5 years and caregivers) 11-11:30 a.m.
- Spanish-Inglés Conversation (All ages) 6-7 p.m. All language skill levels, converse with Spanish and English speakers. Hablar con hablantes de inglés y español, para todos niveles e edades.
- Book Worms: Marigold Bakes a Cake (Ages 5-8) 6:15-7 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 13
- VA Homeless Programs Assistance (Ages 18+) 10-11 a.m. VA community outreach social worker will be available to talk with U.S. veterans about short- and long-term housing programs.
- Xbox Gaming (Ages 12-18) 3-5 p.m. Check out Xbox controllers and play in teen area for up to one hour.
Saturday, Sept. 14
- Family Building Day (All ages) 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Drop in with family to build with Legos and other materials.
Monday, Sept. 16
- Xbox Gaming (Ages 12-18) 3-5 p.m. Check out Xbox controllers and play in teen area for up to one hour.
- Tale to Tail (Ages 5-9 & caregivers) 4-5 p.m. Register for 15-minute time slot to read to trained listening dog.
- Evening Preschool Story time (Ages 3-5 & caregivers) 7-7:30 p.m. Same as Tuesday & Wednesday storytimes, children can wear pajamas.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
- Toddler Time (Ages 18-36 months and caregivers) 10:15-10:45 a.m.
- Preschool Story time (Ages 3-5 years and caregivers) 11-11:30 a.m.
- Teen Advisory Board Meeting (Ages 12-18) 6-7:30 p.m. Teen volunteers meet to share thoughts on improving library.
