The Gallery is manned by an all-volunteer staff and, while hours may vary, they are usually open for several hours a day Monday through Friday. Prior to visiting,call to verify hours of operation or to make an appointment.

About The Gallery:

The Appalachian Spirit Gallery in Marion, Virginia, regularly showcases the work of over 15 member artists; as well as providing Artwalk special art exhibits, music concerts and reception food on the Second Friday of each month from May through December. Artwalk events are held from 5-8 p.m. with music beginning at 6 p.m.

Work on display and for sale in the gallery by Appalachian Spirit member artists include paintings, executed in oils, watercolors, acrylics, alcohol inks and mixed media;photography, felted works, marquetry, wood turned items, pottery, quilts, baskets,jewelry, stained glass and more.

The non-profit Appalachian Spirit Gallery is located in one of Marion’s historic buildings, 144 West Main Street, corner of Sheffey and Main Streets, across from Royal Presbyterian Church and next to the Town Hall.

All events are free and open to the public.
