Chattanooga to host National Assembly of State Arts Agencies in 2008

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Rich Boyd, executive director of the Tennessee Arts Commission, issued a formal invitation during the recent National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, welcoming conference participants to Chattanooga in 2008.

Joining Boyd in welcoming participants to Tennessee via video were Gov. Phil Bredesen and Dolly Parton.

The NASAA meeting in Chattanooga will be held Sept. 10-13, 2008. NASAA is the membership organization that unites, represents, and serves the nation's state and jurisdictional arts agencies. The meeting in Chattanooga will mark the third time the organization has met in Tennessee. Previous NASAA meetings have been held in Memphis and Nashville.
