Virginia Highlands Community College’s Spring Arts Array Film Series continues. Show times are Monday and Tuesday evenings at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Abingdon Cinemall. Admission is free for all students and staff members of Virginia Highlands Community College, Emory & Henry College, King University, East Tennessee State University and Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, including participants in the College of Older Adults who purchase an Arts Array pass. Community admission is $7.75.


“RBG” is on screen April 6 and 7. The film covers the life and career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who has developed a breathtaking legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. The movie stars Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ann Kittner and Harryette Helsel.


“Love, Simon” is shown April 13 and 14. Simon Spier keeps a huge secret from his family, his friends and all of his classmates: he’s gay. When that secret is threatened, Simon must face everyone and come to terms with his identity. The film stars Nick Robinson, Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel.


“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is on screen April 20 and 21. A faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood’s Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.


“Bombshell: The Hedy Lamar Story” is on screen April 27 and 28. The life and career of the hailed Hollywood movie star and underappreciated genius inventor, Hedy Lamarr, is explored. The movie stars Hedy Lamarr, Mel Brooks and Jennifer Hom.
