Returning to His Roots

January 27, 2009

How did you end up living in Savannah, Ga.? and why did you return to your hometown of Bristol?

I heard about an investment opportunity in Savannah through a friend of a friend and jumped on it. Today, however, Bristol is becoming home once again. I'm working on my new 3,000-square-foot studio/gallery in a beautiful historic building in the downtown district. Built in 1901 as Turner Drug, this 107-year-old lady will become the origination point for all my work. I'll create and ship my images from start to finish at this new location. So if you buy an image in XYZ, it will be made in Bristol. I'm also creating three loft apartments on the second floor. I'll be living in one, and I've even got one left to pre-rent for anyone looking to live above a gallery in a fun little downtown!

Walls expects to open his photography studio in mid-summer 2009. Until then, his images are available on-line and at Serendipity, 705 State Street, Bristol, Va. His landscape and wildlife images from six continents adorn the walls in sizes up to eight feet wide.
