Seymour headlines Barter fundraiser

Barter Theatre, Abingdon, Virginia, presents Emmy and Golden Globe winning actress Jane Seymour on the Gilliam Stage May 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Seymour has proven her talents on the Broadway stage, motion pictures and television. Her past films include the James Bond movie “Live and Let Die,” the cult classic “Somewhere in Time” and the comedy smash “Wedding Crashers.” Her television credits include the Emmy Award winning performance as Maria Callas in “Onassis: The Richest Man in the World,” “East of Eden” for which she was awarded a Golden Globe, the mini-series “War and Remembrance” and her Golden Globe winning role as Dr. Quinn on “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.”

Barter Theatre’s Richard Rose joins Seymour on stage to discuss her career and stories of her friendship with Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Seymour also answers questions from the audience. This event benefits Barter Theatre’s Annual Fund for Artistic Excellence.

The performance is followed by a post-show reception at The Martha Washington Inn and Spa’s ballroom. The reception includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a bar.

Tickets range from $150 to $600. One ticket and post-show reception with two drink tickets is $150. One ticket with preferred seating, post-show reception with open bar is $250. One ticket with premium seating, VIP parking, private Meet and Greet and photo opportunity post-show reception with open bar, autographed DVD and access to ballroom reception is $600.
