Tennessee Arts Commission Seeks Nominations for Advisory Panels

November 15, 2006

NASHVILLE -- The Tennessee Arts Commission is seeking nominations for Citizen Advisory Panels for Fiscal Years 2008 and 2009.

Currently there are panels for Arts Access, Arts Education (Teacher Training and Community Learning), Community Arts, Cultural Crossroads, Dance, Folklife, Funds for At-Risk Youth, Inter-Arts, Literary, Music, Theater, Rural Arts Project Support, and Visual Arts/Craft/Media. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 15, 2007.

The Commission encourages all dedicated and quality-concerned arts organizations to seek out and nominate capable persons for panel membership. Panelists are largely responsible for the level of artistic quality supported by the Commission.

Panel members may be either professional artists, arts supporters, arts administrators, volunteers and/or educators. Individuals may either nominate themselves or other qualified persons by submitting a current panelist nomination form, resume, and a statement of the individual's qualifications.

Nomination forms may be downloaded here.
