Be a part of a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Ariel, King Triton, Flounder, Scuttle, Sebastian, Ursula, Prince Eric and many others in this large cast tell the story of dreams, love, family and friendship that have delighted generations.
Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and upon the 35th anniversary of the classic animated film, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages and one of Disney’s most successful musicals of all time. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, this perfect-for-the-whole-family sea-fable spectacular will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”
Directing the Disney favorite is Theatre Bristol veteran director, Glenn Patterson, with recent credits of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s “A Christmas Carol,” “The Sound of Music,” “Into the Woods,” “Scrooge! The Musical,” “Fiddler on the Roof” and Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” opens June 7, and runs for two weekends at The Paramount Center for the Arts.
