• NOV. 16 & 17: Amber Farley leads a Shibori Dyeing workshop at William King Museum of Art, Abingdon, Va., from 1-4:30 p.m. This workshop focuses on the Japanese method of Shibori, a technique that is used to embellish textiles by clamping, binding and/or stitching before dying. This class focuses on different types of Shibori folding and binding techniques as well as the process used to dye. Students test multiple patterns and create two scarves to take.
