Appalachian Art Show opens

April 14 – May 18, 2026 @ Kingsport Renaissance Center

Kingsport, TN— The Kingsport Art Guild presents the60th Annual Appalachian Art Show, a long-standing regional tradition celebrating the rich artistic talent of the Appalachian Highlands. The exhibition is on viewApril 14 through May 18, at theRenaissance Center, 1200 E. Center Street, Kingsport, Tennessee.

An opening reception and awards ceremony is held Friday, April 24 from 6to 7:30 p.m.The public is invited to attend, meet the artists, and experience a diverse collection of original works selected through a juried process.

Each year, the Appalachian Art Show highlights a wide range of media and styles, offering a compelling snapshot of the creative spirit of the region. This year’s exhibition continues that tradition, featuring both emerging and established artists whose work reflects the beauty, cultureand unique perspective of life in Appalachia.

“This show is always a meaningful celebration of our local arts community,” said Donna Bird, chair of the 2026 Appalachian Art Show. “It’s an honor to help bring together such a talented group of artists and to share their work with the public.”

Awards are presented during the reception, recognizing outstanding artistic achievement. Visitors have the opportunity to view and purchase original artwork throughout the duration of the show.

The Appalachian Art Show is free and open to the public during regular Renaissance Center hours.
