Knoxville Children’s Theatre, in partnership with the Clayton Foundation,presents a live production of "Disney’s Frozen JR."The play is performed fromFeb.13through March 1,with show times onThursdays and Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The production takes place in Knoxville Children’s Theatre’s new location at 747 World’s Fair Park. Free onsite parking is provided.
"Frozen JR." is based on the 2018 Broadway musical and brings Elsa, Annaand the magical land of Arendelle to life. The production features all the beloved songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs from the Broadway production. A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, "Frozen JR." expands upon Anna and Elsa’s journey with magic, adventureand humor.
The production features 13talented young actors, ages 10 to 17. The cast includes Afton Schuh as Elsa, Maggie Ingle as Anna, Connor Watters as Hans, Golden Littlejohn as Kristoff, Benjamin Ward as Svenand Lena Kennedy as Olaf. Also joining them are KCT veterans Maggie Anderson, Kira Bellamy, Owen Bellamy, Olivia Birkbeck, Jenna Blumberg, Viviene Bullard, Zee Carnes, Luna Chavez, Mason Cox, Lillian Crawford, Caedmon Gifford, Ellie Houghton, Sage Jamison, Maggie Lamb, Delaney Rickman, Gabi Ryerson, Clara Stanley andQuinton Stiffler. Making their KCT debut are Everett Smith and Jacob Johnson.
The play is directed by KCT Artistic DirectorDennis E. Perkins, with music direction by Teresa Seals and choreography by Donya Walker. The scenic design is led by Truman Ball and assisted by Harper Knight. Lydia Komeshak serves as costume designer and is assisted by Emma Schuh, Eiley Rickmanand Persie Cunningham. The props are designed by Natalie Graves and assisted by Desmond Gondo and Madisyn Beckman. Carter Case serves as the lighting designer and is assisted by Joah Reed. The play is stage managed by Michelle Phelps and assistant stage managed by Tessa Arwe.
