JOHNSON CITY, TN — The Johnson City Public Library holds a variety of events this week.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

• Mother Goose Story time(Ages birth-18 months and caregivers) 9:30-10 a.m. Registration required.
• Toddler Time(Ages 18-36 months and caregivers) 10:15-10:45a.m.
• Preschool Story time(Ages 3-5 years and caregivers) 11-11:30a.m.
• An Evening of Hygge: Hope and Happiness for 2020(Ages 18+) 6-8 p.m. Room set up with cocoa and tea bar for cozy evening of reading or crafting, guided meditation for stress relief led by Adah Watson from Universal Holistics.

Thursday, Jan. 9

• Mother Goose Story time(Ages birth-18 months and caregivers) 9:30-10 a.m. Registration required.
• Toddler Time(Ages 18-36 months and caregivers) 10:15-10:45a.m.

Friday, Jan. 10

• Teen Writing Club(Ages 12-18) 3:30-4:30 p.m. Work on creative writing projects in teen area, learn how to get work published on library website.

Saturday, Jan. 11

• Family Building Day(All ages) 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Drop in with family to build with Legos and other materials.

Monday, Jan. 13

• Music Morning(Ages birth-5 years & caregivers) 10-11 a.m.
• Tale to Tail(Ages 5-9 & caregivers) 4-5, 5:15-6:15 p.m. Register for 15-minute time slot to read to trained listening dog.
• Evening Preschool Story time(Ages 3-5 & caregivers) 6:30-7 p.m. Same as Tuesday and Wednesday storytimes, children can wear pajamas.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

• Toddler Time(Ages 18-36 months and caregivers) 10:15-10:45 a.m.
• Preschool Story time(Ages 3-5 years and caregivers) 11-11:30 a.m.
• Taller Literario / Spanish Literary Club(Ages 18+) 6-7 p.m. Must have at least intermediate skill level, discussions in Spanish of classic and modern Spanish literature, registration required. (Mayores de 18 años) 6-7 p.m. Debe tener al menos habilidades intermedias, discusiones en Español de literatura Española clásica y moderna, se require registro.
• Teen Book Club(Ages 12-18) 6-7 p.m. Discuss "Dear Martin" by Nic Stone, registration required
