ETSU Phil & Martha Bachman College of Arts & Sciences and Slocumb Galleries present ‘Kaleidoscope: Art & Design’from Sept. 30 to Oct.30, at the Tipton-Ashe Gallery with opening reception Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Guest of Honor Dr. Joe Bidwell, Dean of PMB CAS.
The multimedia visual arts exhibition features work by faculty and staff of ETSU Art & Design curated by Amber Farley, namely Audrey An, Mason Cooley, Michael Fowler, Mira Gerard, Morgan Gilbert, Travis Graves, Ursula Gullow, Mindy Herrin-Lewis, Tao Huang, Sogol Khorram, Katie Murphy, Sage Perrott, Kelly Porter, Kevin Reaves, Katie Ries, Katie Sheffield, Tema Stauffer, Johnathon Strube andChance Taylor. The myriad of works range from painting, drawing, ceramics, installation, sculpture, photography, graphic design, fiber, jewelry & metals, digital materials and printmaking.
The Tipton-Ashe Galleries are supported by ETSU Department of Art & Design, Student Activities Allocation Committee, Bravissima! Women Sponsoring the Arts, Arts Fund from the East Tennessee Foundation and the Tennessee Arts Commission. Recipient of the Tennessee Association of Museums Award of Excellence, it is located at 401 former Ashe Courthouse, downtown Johnson City with viewing hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Fridays 3 to 7 p.m. and by appointment.
