March Story times celebrate Spring

March 12 – April 2, 2020 @ Washington Co. (TN) Libraries

The first day of spring is just a few weeks away, and young children and their parents are probably eager to enjoy green grass, sunny days and more time spent outdoors after a cold, damp, and gray winter. Come and anticipate the wonders of the new season.

Story times for toddlers (under age 3) are offered at 9:30 a.m., at both libraries. Jonesborough meets on Tuesdays, and Gray on Thursdays. Sessions last about 20 minutes.

Preschoolers (ages 3 and up) meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays are at Jonesborough, and Thursdays at Gray. Sessions last about 45 minutes.

Children and their adults come together for stories, songs, crafts and more. Reading and singing to young children promotes language and vocabulary development. These activities also enhance comprehension and cognitive skills, as well as positive social interaction. Homeschoolers in the early grades are also welcome to attend.Story times are for children of all abilities.
