• MARCH 23-26:Milligan University, Johnson City, Tenn., presents“Sunday in the Park with George”in the McGlothlin-Street Theatre, Gregory Center. March 23-25 performances are at 7:30 p.m. March 26, it is at 2:30 p.m. The music and lyrics were written by Stephen Sondheim and the book was written by James Lapine. This 1985 Pulitzer Prize-winning musical tells a fictional love story behind Georges Seurat’s pointillist painting, “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grand Jatte.” Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.milligan.tix.com.
