“New Forms in Contemporary Glass” ongoing exhibit at WKAC

May 27 – December 30, 2019 @ William King Museum of Art

• ONGOING: William King Museum of Art, Abingdon, Va., presents “New Forms in Contemporary Glass.” The drama of discovery came to define the early days of the Studio Glass movement as artists transitioned the material of glass from functional object to sculptural. The exhibit examines where the dramatic element of glassmaking is leading today’s artists. Highlighting work from the Chrysler Museum of Art and Perry Glass Studio in Norfolk, Virginia, this exhibition encourages an expansive view of the process and purpose of making. 276-628-5005, www.williamkingmuseum.org
