The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park hosts its last “Lunch on the Lawn” series Sunday, Sept. 24, from 2 to 3 p.m., featuring Lee Pickers.
The Lee Pickers plays a mixture of bluegrass and country music. The Lee Pickers have played at the Appalachia Arts and Cultural Center, the General Store in Big Stone now called Good Times and several other local venues and benefit singings in the area.
Also, new this year, park staff and volunteers will have crafts and activities for children at each “Lunch on the Lawn” program. So, bring the whole family out and have some funin the beautiful Victorian Garden and enjoy an hour of music underneath the shade trees and enjoy an afternoon of home-grown music, fun, and entertainment on thelawn of the museum.
The "Lunch on the Lawn" event is free and open to the public. Participants should bring their own lunch.
