WiseJAMS classes begin Thursday, Feb. 20 and runs through Thursday, May 14.

BIG STONE GAP, VA. — The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park announces the 15th semester of the WiseJAMS music program. WiseJAMS seeks to preserve the important Appalachian mountain music heritage by offering low-cost classes in fiddle, old-time banjo and guitar to small groups of students in after-school settings.
Classes begin Thursday, Feb. 20 and runs through Thursday, May 14 for the 2020 spring session. Classes are held at the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park Thursdays from 3:45 – 5:30 p.m. and serves students in grades 3-8. Youth who participate in this program are required to attend all weekly classes. During the classes, students receive an after school snack and a 90- minute instructional session.
