• NOV. 9 & 10: William King Museum of Art, Abingdon, Va., offers an Understanding Color workshop from 1-4:30 p.m., led by Kyle Buckland This workshop teaches the student the ins and outs of color mixing including the importance of complementary colors and how to guarantee a harmonious color scheme. Some experience with oil paints is suggested but not required. Buckland gives an in-depth lecture and demo on the first day followed by an opportunity for the student to paint their own piece on day two.
