Barter Theatre Players at the Moonlite Drive-in

June 29, 2020

Barter Theatre has come up with a creative concept to deal with social distancing guidelines and still provide quality entertainment — the drive-in. Barter is partnering with the Moonlite Drive-in, Bristol, Virginia.

The Barter Players present two concert versions of plays this summer. July 14 through Aug. 8, they perform “The Wizard of Oz.” “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” comes to the drive-in Aug. 11-29.

Performances are Tuesday through Sunday evenings at sundown. Enjoy a live performance from the comfort and safety of your vehicle. Get the sound through your car’s radio, watch the actors live on stage and simulcast on the big screen.

Tickets begin at $20 and must be purchased in advance either online at bartertheatre.com or by calling 276-628-3991. Entry to the venue begins 60 minutes prior to showtime and ends 15 minutes following showtime. No late or re-entry will be permitted. Admittance will not be granted to patrons who aren’t in a vehicle. All passengers must have a ticket.

Patrons are required to stay in their vehicles, unless visiting the restroom, and should follow social distancing guidelines.

Barter is also offering “Peter Pan” and “Aesop’s Fables” through their On Demand streaming option.
