• NOV. 6 & 7:Emory & Henry University theater and dance programs perform“Kinship”in the McGlothlin Center for the Arts on campus, Emory, Va. Nov. 6 performance is at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 performance is at 2 p.m. Dad is playful but embarrassed, Mom is stressed but loving, and two kids view the world with intense wonder. With visits from grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, this family displays their life through dance and pantomime. Will the young son be able to make an omelet without the dad going insane with hunger, will the daughter splash through the rain without the mom worrying about the mess to clean up after, will the grandad start to take better care of himself because his daughter isn’t ready to live without him?
