Scholarships available for students

KNOXVILLE , Tenn. - East Tennessee Foundation announces the availability of scholarships for student in the region.

Two scholarships, the Miller/Vicars Scholarship and the Ollie and Floyd Sloan Scholarship, are available for Scott County, Va., students for the 2014-2015 school year. Information and applications available atwww.easttennesseefoundation.org/receive/scholarships.aspx. The scholarship application deadline is March 1.
Also available:

>> Jack F. and Edith Updyke Harmon Scholarship for graduating seniors from Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tenn., Virginia High School and John S. Battle High School, both in Bristol, Va., Sullivan Central High School in Blountville, Tenn., or Bland High School in Bland, Va.

Students must pursue undergraduate programs of study at either Emory & Henry College , King University , East Tennessee State University or the University of Tennessee College of Agriculture in Knoxville. Applicants must plan to study either music, art, agriculture, math or science.

The scholarship amount is $5,000 per year renewable for four years
