Songwriters Announced for 2024 Tennessee Songwriters Week

The Birthplace of Country Music, in partnership withwith theTennessee Department of Tourist Development,has announced the names of 20 songwriters set to compete in theTennessee Songwriters Weekqualifying round attheBirthplace of Country Music Museumin Historic Downtown Bristol. The event will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, 1 - 4 p.m.

The songwriters include Adam Bolt, Abingdon, Va.; Austin Barrett, Fairview, N.C.; Beth Lee, Black Mountain, N.C.; Brayden Mullins, Wise, Va.; Caroline Larke, Chapel Hill, N.C.; Claire Childress, Big Stone Gap, Va.; Corey Snowden, Bristol, Tenn.; Ella Folk,Troutville, Va.; Hannah Smith, Bristol, Tenn.; Jayme Chadwell, Ewing, Va.; Jenna Greene, Abingdon, Va.; Jim Street, Johnson City, Tenn.; Kailee Amburgey, Johnson City, Tenn.; Katie Powderly, Frederick, Md.; KevinDuggan, Abingdon, Va.; Landon Camper, Bristol, Tenn.; Linda Mckenzie, Lebanon, Tenn.; Madison Denhardt & Lonijonti Fox (Honeysuckle Dream), Big Stone Gap, Va.; Roger Ramsey,Abingdon, Va.; and Sarah Trunzo, Belfast, Maine.

Three semi-finalists and two alternates will be chosen from the Bristol qualifying round to compete in the Tennessee Songwriters showcase event atThe Down Homein Johnson City, Tenn., Feb. 22. From there, one finalist from The Down Home will go on to perform at the legendaryBluebird Cafeon March 24, along with other finalists from across the state.

Tennessee Songwriters Week supports music venues, songwriters with live performances in all genres of music, drives visitation and inspires travelers to experience the state's music stories, history, attractions and venues.
