SWVA Museum announces winners of 20th Annual Festival of Trees

BIG STONE GAP, Va. - The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park congratulates the winners of the 20th Annual Festival of Trees. Winners were selected based on votes received from Festival of Trees attendees from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31.

Winners include:
First Place: "A South Seas Christmas" – LifeCare Ambulance Service of Wise, Va.

Second Place: "The Ascension" – East Park Avenue Baptist Church of Norton, Va.

Third Place: "The Joy of Pepsi" – Pepsi Bottling Company of Norton, Va.

Fourth Place: "Ladder of Life" – New Hope Assembly of God of Big Stone Gap, Va.

Fifth Place: "Tribute to Virginia" – LJ Horton Florist of Big Stone Gap, Va.

Sixth Place: "Crystal Christmas Tree" – Addilyn Memorial United Methodist Church of Bristol, Tenn.

Seventh Place: "Pancreatic Cancer Awareness" – Children of Yvonne Fannon of Big Stone Gap, Va.

Eighth Place: "Animals of 2015" – P.A.W.S. of Southwest Virginia, Inc. of Wise County, Va.

Ninth Place: "Star Wars" – Powell Valley Animal Hospital of Big Stone Gap, Va.

10th Place (tied): "Sharknado" – Michael and Angela West of Wise, Va.

10th Place (tied): "Happy Holidays" – Old Dominion Power Company of Norton, Va.

Volunteers around the Southwest Virginia region decorated holiday trees, mantels, doorways and banisters throughout the Southwest Virginia Museum, sharing their talents and holiday spirit with all who visited the site. This year, 81 groups showcased their creativity, creating a beautiful collection of displays.
