William King Museum of Art announces the receipt of a grant

William King Museum of Art announces the receipt of a grant from the C. Bascom Slemp Foundation. Members of the Foundation’s trustee board visited the museum to present a check for $30,600 in support of the museum’sart education programs for elementary schools in Lee and Wise Counties.

Betsy K. White, executive director, accepted the check on behalf of the museum and expressed appreciation for the longstanding partnership between the Foundation and William King Museum of Art. “This grant will be used to continue our VanGogh Outreach program, which provides three annual visits to second and third grade classrooms.”

William King Museum of Art is open seven days a week: Monday through Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the museum is free. Register for classes and events on WKMA’s website.
