• JUNE 20-21:Abingdon Fiddlers’ Conventionis held at the Washington County Virginia Fairgrounds, Abingdon, Va. AKick-off Open Jamis heldJune 19at 5 p.m., on the Martha Washington Inn lawn. Friday events begin at 5 p.m. with registration. Opening ceremony is at 6 p.m., followed by gospel band competition and live music. Saturday events begin with registration at 10 a.m. Saturday features the youth competition, youth band competition, adult competition, adult band competition and flat foot competition.
