Bristol Academy of Music, Bristol, Virginia offers a musical theater class focusing on "Rudulph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jr." The class culminates in a performance of the musical.
This is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the television special. Filled with holiday hits like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr."features favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph.
This weekly class immerses students in the musical theater experience through work on music, acting techniquesand choreography culminating in a fully staged performance. Studentswork with a team of teachers to create a community of inclusion, empathy, respect and creativity.
Class runs from Aug. 17 through Dec. 17 on Thursdays from 5:30-7 p.m. Performances are tentatively scheduled for Dec. 15-17. The cost is $99 per month.
