Wise, VA–Acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, composer and genre-defying artist Julius Rodriguez is set to take the stage for aperformanceThursday,May1at 7 p.m.in the Gilliam Center for the Arts Black Box Theater at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise.Known for his seamless blend of jazz, hip-hop, R&B and gospel, Rodriguez continues totranscend perceived boundaries between genres and styles, redefining music to mirror his own fluid creative inclinations, and delivering a sound that's his alone.Rodriguez performs alongside saxophonist EmilioModeste, bassist Brandon Rose and drummer JaylenPetinaud—each bringing their artistry and energy to the stage.

Theconcertis free,open to the publicand brought to youby the Pro-Art Association in partnership with UVA Wise andin conjunction with the W.
