• JUNE 23-27:The Pick-Along Summer Camp – Intermediateis held at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, Bristol, Va., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday. Kids receive foundational skills from instructors on the same style of acoustic instruments played on the1927 Bristol Sessionsrecordings. Campers explore theBirthplace of Country Music Museum, learn about the music of Bristol and the region, work on projects withRadio Bristol and receive instruction in singing, dancing and more while making new friends. Campers hone their skills as a budding musician busking in historic downtown Bristol and give a final performance for parents at the museum at the end of the week. $200 for museum members and $250 for non-members, optional instrument rental is $25.
