Richmond Ballet's Studio Company performs

Pound,VA–Richmond Ballet’s Studio Companypresents an evening of classicaland contemporary works, showcasing theversatility, athleticismand artistry of itstalented emerging dancers.Pro-Art welcomes Richmond Ballet Studio Company to the Wise County Performing Arts Center at J.W. The performance highlights “La Bayadère Pas de Six,”a grandclassical showpiece from Act III of thebeloved ballet. The program also featurestwo compelling works by Richmond BalletArtistic Director Ma Cong:“Alone, Beside Me,”a poignant duet exploring the complexitiesof love and connection, and“Crash,”agripping solo that delves into personalconflict and endurance. Salvatore Aiello’s“Notturno”adds a lyrical dimension, pairingexpressive choreography with the evocativemusic of Franz Schubert.

Richmond Ballet, The State Ballet ofVirginia, has flourished as a home for thepast, presentand future of dance sinceits inception as a professional companyin 1984.
