The Birthplace of Country Music Museum is actively seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help share the story of country music with visitors from around the world. The next Museum Volunteer Orientation session is held Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. — 12 p.m. This session provides a perfect opportunity for potential volunteers to learn about the various roles available and how they can get involved in this exciting, hands-on museum experience.
"Volunteers play a crucial role in the museum's daily operations," said Museum Director Dr. Rene Rodgers. "There are opportunities to work with the public and behind the scenes, and we will work with your schedule. If you love music and music history, and want to contribute to our community, join us."
Volunteers are central part of the museum's work and visitors' experience there, contributing both behind the scenes and on the front lines. Opportunities range from working as gallery assistants and docents to assisting with events, concertsand programs. Volunteers can also lend a hand in The Museum Store or help with administrative tasks, blog post writing, and collections work.
