Public Art Survey Underway Nationwide

August 2, 2009

According to Americans for the Arts, the 2009 Public Art Network Field Survey will assess the total number of public art programs nationwide as well as policies, budgets, and impact from the economic downturn. The survey results will be published in a final report available to the field.

Two separate surveys will be available:

(1) the Public Art Administrators Survey is to be filled out by directors or managers of public art programs (public and/or privately administered), and

(2) the Artists Survey is to be filled out by artists who have completed at least one commissioned public art project.

To ensure you receive the online survey electronically, please e-mail pan@artsusa.org and include your name, title, organization, address, city, state, zip, phone, e-mail, and website. Americans for the Arts members and nonmembers are welcome to take the survey.

Also, feel free to forward information about programs which might be interested in participating.

For more information, e-mail Manager of Public Art Liesel Fenner at lfenner@artsusa.org or visit www.AmericansForTheArts.org/PAN.
