• OCT. 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29:En Plein Air Painting Classis held at The Philosopher’s House, Johnson City, Tenn., at 6:15 p.m. Bring a hat, water bottle, and an old shirt/apron. All other materials provided or bring your own. Your teacher guides you through the steps of painting out in the open air, while allowing you to put in your own style. Open to beginners and experienced artists. No registration needed, unless you need supplies. $25 for materials. Donations encouraged to support the teahouse.www.thephilosophershouse.org
