International Storytelling Center receives National Endowment for the Arts Grant

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu announced that the International Storytelling Center is one of 919 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Art Works grant.

• Arthur Campbell awards announced The mayor and Abingdon Town Council honor the recipients of the third annual Arthur Campbell Community Service Award, the highest honor given by the Council.
• ETSU faculty's "Banjo Romantika' shown at Asheville Cinema Festival The documentary "Banjo Romantika: American Bluegrass and the Czech Imagination" produced by two East Tennessee State University faculty members was screened during the Asheville Cinema Festival in November.
• ETSU names new art chair East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, named Mira Gerard chair of the department of art and design in the college of arts and sciences.
• E&H names new art center director An experienced administrator with extensive work history in higher education and arts management has been named the director of the new Woodrow W. McGlothlin Center for the Arts at Emory & Henry College, Emory, Virginia.
• Grants awarded for regional arts projects The Arts Build Communities grant was awarded to eight regional organizations for the 2014-2015 fiscal year.
