PUSH! Film Festival grows in its second year

Downtown Bristol's PUSH Film Festival is in its second year, which means it has already outlasted more than 60 percent of other film festivals.

• Mountain Makins wins Best Festival Award The Mountain Makins Festival, which celebrated its 40th year in 2015, received the Kaleidoscope "Best Festival in the Southeast 2016 Award" from the Southeast Festivals and Events Association.
• AAME Speakers Series begins The Arts Alliance Mountain Empire, in cooperation with William King Museum of Arts, announces the first speaker in this year's AAME Speakers Series.
• Arts for Youth Spotlight Kelsey Tweed has been interested in filmmaking since she was 9.
• October arts at ETSU Traditions – one ancient and endangered and the other more contemporary and evolving – highlight October at Mary B. Martin School of the Arts at East Tennessee State University.
